I’m Ernest Lineberger, a retired Naval Officer and Democrat running for Congress in Texas’ 26th District. My mission is simple: to defend the Constitution, serve our community, and ensure that the needs of the people come before the interests of the wealthy and powerful. For too long, our government has been hijacked by extremists who are only looking out for the billionaire class. I’m running to change that. I served 15 years in the U.S. Navy, taking an oath to defend our Constitution. I’ve lived by that oath my entire life, and I’m committed to continuing that fight. Our democracy is under attack, and the current administration, along with my opponent, Brandon Gill, is prioritizing corporate profits and the billionaire agenda over the needs of everyday Americans. Brandon Gill has made it clear that he stands with the Trump administration, an administration that repeatedly attacked the rule of law and worked to benefit the wealthy at the expense of our families. From undermining the courts to promoting policies that squeeze the middle class, his actions only serve to increase inequality and concentrate power in the hands of the few. Contrast that with my approach: I’m here to restore integrity to Washington, to put people first, and to defend the values that truly make this country great. I’m committed to fighting for access to healthcare, for strong veterans’ services, and for social safety nets that protect the most vulnerable members of our community. I believe in a government that works for the people, not for billionaires. I believe in defending the Constitution and ensuring that our government remains a force for good—not a tool for those seeking to line their pockets.
